To the question of the essence and content of the innovation project

The article reflects the results of a scientific revision of the essence and content of the concepts of “project” and “innovative project”. The structure and the author’s definition are presented, which characterize an innovative project as a complex of research, analytical, experimental design, organizational, technical, industrial, commercial, financial, managerial and other (by terms, executors, resources, categories of responsibility, etc.) set of project documentation. In addition, the elements characterizing the innovative project are considered: project participants (customers, suppliers, designers, contractors, investors, consultants, scientific and technical councils and others), project management style, organization of project work, methods, means of communication, economic and social conditions of the project , innovation project management. The main functional responsibilities of the project manager, as well as the group of processes included in the innovation project management system, are considered. The article presents an approach to the classification of types of innovative projects based on classification features: the type of satisfaction of needs, the period of project implementation, the nature of the project goals, the type of innovation, the level of decisions made, the scale of the tasks to be solved. In conclusion, it was concluded that the content of an innovative project is determined by a combination of external and internal factors that can affect the process of its implementation.
