Revisiting the essence of contemporary global problems

The article deals with the problems of modern global processes, clarifies the essence of the concept "globalization". Attention is drawn to the ambiguity of its interpretation; we have revealed the main features of this phenomenon, including the objective nature of globalization, the presence of a strong subjective beginning - political and ideological influence. It is emphasized that global problems are characterized by complexity, inconsistency, and scale. They are closely interrelated, difficult to forecast. Global problems affect the interests of all mankind and the joint efforts of all states in the world should be taken for their resolution. A number of modern global problems are analyzed, including demographic, food and others.
