In the article on the basis of official statistical data of the Federal Service for Surveillance in Healthcare, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and judicial statistics of the Russian Federation, scientific literature, as well as materials of law enforcement practice some features of the illegal circulation of counterfeit, substandard medicines, medical devices and biologically active additives on the territory of the country are studied, the criminologically significant properties of the ways of this type of crime with p. The circulation in the territory of the Russian Federation of preparations and medical products of the type under study in the form of criminal activity, typically carried out by organized criminal groups, with a significant level of latency, currently represents a serious socio - economic problem, the solution to which is possible by increasing the effectiveness of the fight against it by law enforcement agencies and the support of the State.
