Concerning the importance of handwriting studies in the investigation of criminal cases

The article defines such notions as “written language” - “handwriting” - “writing” in the context of the forensic examination of handwriting (handwriting studies). The author considers in detail identification, classification and diagnostic goals of the handwriting studies. It is emphasized, that there is fragmentariness in the system of researches concerning with the correlation between the handwriting and the personality traits. The author states, that due to the variety of factors the handwriting doesn’t mirror the personality.
