Concerning topical research objects of the innovative system

The article presents a study of the institutional features of the contemporary innovative systems’ development. The author defines timely innovative specialization of the Russian Federation and prerequisites for potential innovations’ implementation; evolutes the key methodological issue, which is determination and assessment of the innovative systems’ potential of the micro-, meso-, macro-levels. The economic manifestations of the innovative potential are expounded, as well as their research descriptions.
