On the issue of topical problems of local self-government

Today, local self-government is the most important element of the institution of public power, which should be reformed in the near future, since the form of exercising the power of the people under consideration is one of the main indicators of a democratic state. Thus, within the framework of the development of the Russian political system, there was a need for careful consideration of the issue of expanding the powers and functions of local self-government. At the same time, it is necessary not only to identify new areas of activity of local self-government, but also to revise existing areas of activity.
