Some aspects of early Russian liberals ideology and mentality (on the materials of discussions about the peasant community of 1856 - 1859)

In the article some aspects of ideology and mentality of the liberal public representatives of Russia on the eve of the abolition of serfdom is investigated. The basic method employed is the content analysis of articles from "Voices from Russia" collections and "Athenaeum" magazine, devoted to the destiny of the peasant community. The influence of publicists' methodology and their subjective perception of various aspects of contemporary realities on the reform projects are studied.
