On biological objects’ usage for the postmortem interval determination

The articles on determination of the post-mortem interval in the late period of the bodies’ decomposition were studied. Today we have various methods assistive in determination of the time of death. The analysis of scientific literature on the problem in focus is provided. It was revealed that most of the used methods are not effective in the identification of the exact time of death especially when it comes to rotten corpses. The possibility of using biological objects (necrophilic insects, microorganisms, protozoa) for the prescription of the time of death is discussed in the article.
