To the problem of studying the causes of deviant behavior among adolescents

Despite the great diversity deviation from social norms have some common reasons that support its existence, lead to its growth and spread. Inherently they come to subjective and objective contradictions of social development, which violate the interaction of person with social environment and lead to behaviors inconsistent to the existing regulatory system. In the article the characteristics and causes of deviant behavior among adolescents and the role of family in its prevention were described. We presented the results of survey carried out among foster children of Ulan-Ude Social Rehabilitation Center of Minors and aimed at determining the causes of adolescents’ deviant behavior. The survey revealed that among the main factors influencing the formation of deviant behavior were the following: family conflicts, antisocial behavior of parents, adolescents’ environment and others. We also described the programs for such forms of deviant behavior prevention as neglect and homelessness, addictions; they were successfully implemented in Ulan-Ude Social Rehabilitation Center of Minors.
