The issue of standards in the field of environmental protection, environmental rationing in the gold mining sector, and the importance of state standards are discussed. The general characteristic of the notion "normative" is given, the types of standards are considered in detail, the main problems of permissible withdrawal in the extraction of minerals and the causes of their occurrence are presented, and ways of solving this problem are proposed.
