In this article, the authors analyzed the stages of career planning, by which they understand the process of comparing the potential capabilities, abilities and goals of a person with the requirements of the organization, strategy and plans for its development, expressed in the preparation of a professional and career development program. The relevance of the study of career planning problems is due to their practical need on the part of modern enterprises developing in accordance with global economic and technological trends, as well as the lack of a sufficient number of developments in this field that meet modern requirements of Russian society.
