The paper concentrates on the specific features of temporal senses and their verbalization in the poem by B. Pasternak “The Star of the Nativity”. The emphases are on the analysis of correlation between different historical planes and the temporality concept in the poem. The paper proves Evangelical way of thought by Boris Pasternak which is explicitly presented in the poems of the novel “Doctor Zhivago”. We argue that various temporal planes are united in the concept of “eternal present” within the framework of which the mystery of eternity is opening up. The paper draws on the textual analogy between metaphorical images of the poem, hymnography, orthodoxy and patristics.
