Concerning crime forecasting in the Volgograd region: calculation of complex index

The practicable way to improve measures of crime prevention is application of simulation techniques in the information-analytical activities of the internal affairs bodies. With the advent of new information technologies based on the computer technology, the efficiency of simulation techniques has improved greatly in the study of such a complex and multifactorial phenomenon as criminality. The article presents a methodology of crime forecasting in the Volgograd region with application of the complex index.
