Qualitative research in suicidology. Part I: why and what for

The first part of the literature review reported on the place and characteristics of qualitative research (QR) as generally accepted evidence-based approaches using relevant examples in the aspect of suicidology. The basic ideas about the methodology, ethical principles, limitations and prospects for the development of QR are given.
