Quality of human potential under the conditions of innovation economy

Weakening of the Russian social potential, observed when considering the population in different aspects - in terms of demographic reproduction, human capital, as well as inter-personal relations - may be now compared to the process of nature exhaustion going under the impact of anthropogenic factors and having no preconditions for recovery. Instead of making investments in people, the Russian authorities are actually destroying the social potential of the country by their current policies and thus hampering the sustainable development of Russia, which is highly dependent on human factor. Considering the future prospects of Russia, it is necessary to take the population characteristics and quality of life as the primary criterion for all decisions of the Federal and regional authorities. We should stress again the well-known thesis that our national idea is "saving the people" that implies saving every individual, every citizen of the country.
