Technology and the foundation of the economy have changed dramatically since digital transformation became widespread. The Total Quality Management approach remains, but new options related to digital tools, services, processes and products, their quality attributes and evaluation methodology are emerging. Many of them were invented during the development of the information technology industry in the 20th century and some in recent years, such as the UX/UI - approach. Their integrated application should ensure the achievement of a new stage in digital transformation and scientific and technological progress, but requires the development of new competencies that combine digital and "quality" competencies. In the article the authors consider the definition of "quality of the digital economy", which, according to the authors, is a methodology for creating a replicable environment of a progressively expanding set of globally accessible and interacting digital services adaptive to the processes and goals of an accelerated modernizing economy based on the principles of quality.
