The life quality of patients with T2-4N0-2M0 breast cancer was studied according to EORTC QIQ-C30 and EORTC QLQ-BR23 questionnaires. The patients received the complex treatment including preoperative neutron therapy followed by radical mastectomy and postoperative distant gamma therapy concurrent with polychemotherapy in neo-and adjuvant regimens. After completion of treatment, parameters of general and physical states, cognitive function and psycho-emotional and social status were decreased as compared to initial ones. One year after the treatment, all the above parameters returned to previous values. No increase in the incidence of complications was found in patients treated with neutron therapy compared to patients treated with preoperative gamma therapy in the regimen of large dose fractionation and with postoperative gamma therapy delivered to the areas of metastatic spread (without preoperative radiotherapy).
