Research of problems of quality of life of pregnant women with chronic viral hepatitis has identified a need for analysis of literature data concerning the study of quality of life during pregnancy in female patients with chronic viral hepatitis. The review presents data about correlation be tween quality of life and mental state of pregnant women. It shows the relationship between health and quality of life of pregnant women from socially disadvantaged groups. Possibility of development of depression among pregnant women with low levels of education, belonging to Negroid race, having many children, obese has been described. In pregnant women with chronic illnesses, high negative emotional reactivity, low quality of life as compared with healthy pregnant women were identified. Depressive symptoms were five times more frequent in patients with hepatitis, as compared with healthy population. When comparing between groups with chronic viral hepatitis C and B, no significant differences have not been found, but drug use significantly worsened their quality of life. Marital status, lack of reactivation of the disease, employment, education, family financial status were important factors influencing change of quality of life and mental health.
