Life quality of children infected and affected by tuberculosis in the stage of sanatorium reabilitation

With the help of a questionnaire PedsQL (version 4.0) the life quality of 92 children (aged 13-17 years) with active pulmonary tuberculosis and infected with Mycobacterium tuberculosis was evaluated. We investigated the initial level of life quality before the sanatorium treatment and the changes immediately after the end of therapy. The analysis of the dynamics of the life quality was performed in different age groups, gender and individual scales of operation. It was found out that the most problematic areas of life of children 13 - 17 years, requiring rehabilitation are the emotional and social areas. Repeated questioning can be an important criterion for evaluating of effectiveness of treatment and rehabilitation.
