In this article the cultural and anthropological influence of reception of Galen’s treatises in medieval Europe is analyzed. The effects of physical medicine developed in the classical period of medieval history and vividly presented in medical school of Salerno are investigated in connection with their impact on everyday life. It is demonstrated how cultivated techniques of medical thinking and therapeutic practice have caused the actualization of the interest to the bodily life.
