Worldview of the Sami of the Kola peninsula reflected in the ornament vocabulary

The article is devoted to the ornament vocabulary of the Kola Sami, which helps to reconstruct a picture of the world of the indigenous Northern people. The vocabulary of ornament hasn’t been a subject of the systemic linguistic research yet. The paper is the first attempt of classification of the given vocabulary. In the course of field practices the authors have managed to obtain lexical data that haven’t been recorded in the modern dictionaries of the Sami language.
