Cartographic maintenance of the national report on forests' status and use in the Russiаn Federation

A set of maps was developed to accompany the State report on the state and use of forests of the Russian Federation for 2014. The maps are compiled on a single spatial basis in the ArcGis for Desktop software environment. For the thematic content, the data of the state forest registry were used. Methods of creating a single spatial basis with contours of forest-covered lands are considered. The maps supplement the analytical assessments with the territorial-spatial representation of the quantitative and qualitative characteristics of the forest fund lands.
