The category of «sincerity» in the Chinese philosophy and its place in the development concept of the People’s Republic of China

This paper presents a historical-philosophical analysis of the concept of philosophical category «chensin» (sincerity, honesty) in Confucianism, as well as its interpretation in contemporary social and philosophical thought in China. The correlation between two components of the concept «cheng» (sincerity, authenticity) and «xin» (trust) has been considered. This concept will stand out as one of the key ones in the «comprehensive construction of the «xiaokang» society» and the concept of «building the harmonious society».
