The category of continuity in the development of modern functions of the Russian state

Purpose: The study of continuity as a specific method of development of process of functioning of the state. Methodology: Historical and legal, comparative legal and formal legal methods was used. Results: Studying the Soviet experience of state development in the concept of succession in relation to the functioning of the state, it is possible to determine the prospects of development of activity of the state at the present stage of its development. Study of the processes of continuity helps to concentrate on the volume of the contents of the functions of the state of the Soviet period and extrapolate this content on the needs of the state, and to generalize the experience of formation and development of the newly formed functions. Novelty/originality/value: The article reveals the position, possessing the scientific novelty, as in the content formulated some aspects of the peculiarities of modern state functions on the basis of the developed criteria of the Soviet doctrine of state functions.
