Categorization of private investors: new risks and opportunities

The article analyzes amendments to the Federal law "On the securities market"proposed by the deputies of the state Duma of the Russian Federation. These amendments relate to the classification of investors in the financial market and the regulation of participation of individuals in exchange trading. A professional judgment is given on the new opportunities and limitations that these amendments bring to private investors and professional participants in the securities market. The forecast of the impact of the adoption of the analyzed amendments on the investment climate of the country is given.
