Cossacks as a support of Russia in the North Caucasus at the beginning of the XIX century

The article discusses the position of the Cossacks in the North Caucasus, their role in strengthening the position of Russia. The policy of Russia aimed at maintaining the Cossacks and attracting them to the Cossack army is covered.
