The weakening of the social policy of the state, combined with the fall of moral standards, has led to the fact that ablebodied citizens without any embarrassment and shame resort to begging. A distinctive feature of modern begging is its spread on the Internet. This criminological study is one of the first to characterize cyberbegging and analyze its methods. A large audience reach, the ability to quickly raise funds, indirect appeal to strangers-these are the advantages of the Internet that make it attractive to beggars. On the Internet, communities are created to help raise funds for those in need, and you can also find sites that give instructions on how to properly ask for money for certain needs. The article considers cyberbegging in two aspects: 1) as an anti-social phenomenon; 2) as a crime in the form of fraud. Common methods of begging on the Internet are: applying to a variety of charitable foundations; creating posts in social networks; leaving requests on a variety of thematic forums; writing ads on electronic ad platforms on the Internet; using e-mail newsletters; begging in messengers. In order to prevent victimization of the population, the author has developed rules that must be followed by Internet users.
