Cinema - the phenomenon of Russian сculture in the years of the first world war (on materials of the Volga provinces)

In the paper the cinematographic repertoire in the period of the First World War is researched as well as its specificity in the Volga provinces territory (Samara, Saratov, Simbirsk and Penza) and the way cinemas worked. The author analyzes the influence of cinematography on the society in conditions of wartime.
