Chinese painting in the style of socialist realism in the twentieth century

This article examines the features of Chinese painting in the style of socialist realism, its aesthetic and ideological foundations, as well as its role in consolidating society during the construction of socialism. The authors explore the historical context of the emergence and development of this artistic trend in China, paying special attention to its connection with the political and social transformations of the mid-20th century. The influence of Soviet art on the formation of Chinese socialist realism is analyzed, including the borrowing of composition methods, color schemes and themes, as well as the adaptation of these elements to national cultural traditions. The study highlights the importance of socialist realism as a tool for promoting and shaping national identity, as well as its influence on contemporary Chinese art.
