Chinese approach to trans-border cooperation development in the Northeast Asia (case study of Yanbian Korean autonomous prefecture)

The article examines the typical features of Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture as an example of underdeveloped border territory of the Jilin province in China. The authors analyse the prospective plans and practical measures of the Chinese government to use trans-border opportunities for advanced development of Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture by implementation of international projects with border territories of Northeastern Asia countries, first of all, with Russia's Primorsky Krai.
