This article discusses the typology of classifications of the image of territories. The author considers the concept of the image of the municipality, its theoretical aspects. We consider several types of classification of the image of the territory, are examples of cities. The text of the article contains image classifications, such as by the type of the subject representing the image, by the degree of perception by the population and by the main type of activity of the enterprises of the territory.
