Automobile roads classification and noise prediction

Бесплатный доступ

Classification of automobile roads considering noise emissions is developed. All roads are divided onto six following types depending on road category and permitted speed: low-noise roads (characterized by noise emissions less than 60 dBA), rather noisy roads (characterized by noise levels higher 60 dBA to 65 dBA), noisy roads (characterized by noise levels high than 65 dBA to 70 dBA), very noisy (characterized by noise levels higher that 70 dBA to 75 dBA), extremely noisy (characterized by noise levels higher than 75 dBA to 80 dBA), intolerant noisy (higher than 80 dBA). Corrections providing spectral sound pressure levels estimation based on equivalent sound level for each type of the roads are developed. Noise prediction methods taking into account experimental corrections on surface sound absorption, green plantations, etc. are derived. Example of road noise prediction is done.
