Classification of defects of aviation display units

The article discusses a classification of defects of aviation display units. Possible defects in the display of dynamically synthesized images displayed on a liquid crystal display unit screen are described. Possible defects in the components of liquid crystal display unit and their effect on the display of information are specified. Possible classification groups of liquid crystal display unit defects that affect the image are defined. An enhanced classification of possible defects of a modern liquid crystal display unit is presented according to selected classification groups. Examples of displaying information with the defects that are correlated with the developed classification are given. The problems that can be solved by a defect classifier with allowance for a larger number of classified characteristics are presented. The issues of using the developed classifier are considered.
