Classification of forms of committing a threat of murder or causing serious harm to health, in relation to article 119 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation

Introduction: The article presents an analysis of possible forms of committing a threat of murder or causing serious harm to health, as well as systematization and classification of the identified forms. Materials and Methods: the research used the opinions of domestic scientists, forensic investigative practice in the form of 170 materials of criminal cases and 200 convictions under Article 119 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, as well as an expert assessment of 100 law enforcement officers. The author used general scientific methods: a systematic approach, induction, analogy, analysis, synthesis, a sociological survey in the form of a questionnaire. The Results of the Study: the paper classifies the forms of expression of the threat of murder or causing serious harm to health according to the degree of structuring, in relation to Article 119 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. Findings and Conclusions: the developed classification will allow law enforcement officers to correctly interpret the disposition of Part 1 of Article 119 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, as a result of which it is planned to increase the effectiveness of protecting the individual from criminal attacks on mental and social health.
