Classification of formal offences and its significance

Introduction: the article is devoted to the development of classification of completed offences. The author notes the lack of unambiguous understanding of the basis of such classification and quantitative indicator of the allocated subgroups in the criminal-legal science. Unification of types of constructions of completed offences will lead to the uniformity of legislative material; solve multiple issues of interpretation of the Special Part of the criminal law. The paper substantiates the need to classify the elements of completed offences on various grounds (vertically and horizontally). Special attention is paid to the analysis of formal corpus delicti of crimes, their classification is proposed depending on the inclusion of the criminal result in the construction of the corpus delicti. Specific examples of formal and truncated corpus delicti, enshrined in the Special Part of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, causing difficulties in interpretation are given.
