Classification and distinctive features of modern political parties

The article deals with the modern typologies of political parties, offered by leading political scientists from the middle of the twentieth century. The work shows similarities and differences between European and Russian parties, reveals characteristics of parliamentary and non-parliamentary parties in Russia.
