Classification of the longitudinal ectromelia of the leg

The classification of longitudinal ectromelia of leg bones, developed in view of the underdevelopment character of anatomic formations in 123 patients (134 limbs) at the age of 4-16 years, is presented in the work. The clinical-and-roentgenologic analysis made allowed to resolve nine defect varieties for developmental tibial anomalies, three - developmental fibular anomalies, and two varieties of leg bone hypoplasia: that with preferential underdevelopment of tibia and that with preferential underdevelopment of fibula, which determine the tactics of limb reconstruction using the Ilizarov fixator.
