At the present time in the South of Western Siberia is known more than one hundred finds of cheek-pieces bronze age. There was also an intermediate-contaminated form, combining the capabilities of both groups. Anyway, all the cheek-pieces called to carry the function of the valves belt of horse bridle, and acted as intermediaries in the transmission of commands in the management of the horse. During the systematic study of artifacts we isolated morphological, chronological and cultural differences between the groups of the cheek-pieces. Analysis of products, representing the type of the first group, gives us reason to believe their elements headband to cart animals. As evidenced by the traces of the installation of the chariots in the burials of where they were found. The second group of cheek-pieces were used in the management of only riding a horse. Cheek-pieces this group belong to the Late Bronze – Early Iron Ages. The third group of products used in the management of exclusively riding a horse. The third group of wares used in the management of exclusively riding a horse. In the course of the investigation it has been established that the evolution of the forms of cheek-pieces indirectly specifies a change of opportunities of use of the horse.
