Keystroke dynamics as a technology for reducing level of victimhood in the digital space

Digital technologies lead not only to an improvement in the quality of life, but also to the development of negative trends: intensification of criminal activity, an increase in the victimization of users . To reduce the latter negative trend, it may be very important to use keystroke dynamics monitoring systems that describe how a person types . The construction of such systems is implemented on the basis of special technical tools - keyloggers . Their operation is possible according to three main models: processing of keystroke dynamics only during authorization in the system (this allows preventing unauthorized access to information on the computer device); constant monitoring without saving logs (to block the work of an illegal user on the computer even in a situation of gaining access to the system); constant monitoring with saving logs (so that there is an additional possibility of confirming an alibi) . At the same time, the practical integration of keyloggers into personal computers today is difficult due to low awareness of citizens in the relevant issues, the absence of a state certified system for processing keystroke dynamics, the absence of a single database for storing all collected information and ensuring its security . To solve these problems, the article proposes a set of measures combining educational activities, technical measures to develop the critical information infrastructure of the state and etc .
