Clinical manifestations and diagnosis of metabolic syndrome

The article discusses the features of clinical manifestations of metabolic syndrome (MS) as a complex of changes associated with metabolic disorders, as a result of which insulin resistance or insensitivity to insulin develops, which leads to impaired glucose uptake by cells, as well as pathological changes in all systems and tissues. Laboratory diagnostics and the main symptoms of metabolic syndrome and its complications are described.
