Studies have shown that there are differences in the reactivity of the sympathetic nervous system in women before and after menopause. The hyperfunction of the sympathetic nervous system is currently considered not only as the most important joint in the formation of arterial hypertension, but also as a factor contributing to the development of a number of severe, sometimes fatal complications.
