The plant key area ridge Zagustay (Republic of Buryatia)

In the Republic of Buryatia in Selenga region Steppe Important Plant Areas Ridge Zagustaysky is identified as a result of inventory of botanical data. The article contains the brief description of this Important Plant Area. Botanical value of this area is determined according the criteria: 7 habitats of species included in the Red Book of Russia and Buryatia, a variety of habitats, the presence of threatening habitats. The site is located near the recreation area of Lake Shchuchye. The area is exposed to grazing and agricultural vegetation burning. During planning specially protected areas, recreational and economic activities should to consider the vulnerability of this territory.
