Key trends in the sustainable development of transport and road infrastructure in Russian Federation

Within the framework of this article, it is shown that infrastructure plays a significant role in ensuring the economic security of the state. One of the conditions for economic growth is the development of transport and road systems. Thanks to the development of infrastructure, an efficient process of production and distribution of products is ensured. It becomes possible to reduce transport and operating costs. For Russia, under the conditions of sanctions restrictions, the development of transport infrastructure is one of the promising areas to ensure stable economic growth. The object of the study is various types of transport that are necessary to provide transport links in the regions of the Russian Federation. Particular attention was paid to two types of territories: territories that are characterized by high economic potential, while at the moment they have a low level of development of transport infrastructure; territories that, in the future, will experience high demand for freight and passenger transportation.
