The key threats to Russia's economic security

Dynamically changing geopolitical and geo-economic conditions put forward new requirements for the national security of the country and its sustainable development. One of the Central places in the structure of national security of Russia is its economic security, which guarantees the independence of the country, the conditions of stability and effective functioning of society. In this regard, monitoring trends in the economic sphere, identifying the main risks and threats to the security of the economy, the definition of measures to reduce their negative impact is very relevant both from a scientific and practical point of view. In this article, the greatest attention is paid to the identification of threats, the long-term impact of which reduces the economic security of the Russian Federation, makes it vulnerable to external challenges, significantly weakens its position on the world stage. It is shown that among the key threats to the security of the Russian economy are low rates of economic growth, continuing primitivization of the structure, high dependence on the energy sector, technological backwardness of the industrial sector, lack of investment, capital outflow from the country, low innovation activity, imbalance of the budget system, high level of territorial differentiation. A set of measures to reduce the impact of identified threats that should be implemented within the framework of economic policy is proposed. It is proved that among the urgent measures the development and implementation of the strategy of new industrialization, state support for competitive areas, advanced technologies, the development of basic science, diversification and structural transformation of industry, the development of export potential and promotion of import substitution, adjustment of monetary and financial policy, the adoption of the strategy of spatial development of the country, aimed at increasing the connectivity of the economic space. It is concluded that it is necessary to take this set of measures at all levels of government.
