Prince Fyodor and marriage ties of Mologa and Tver princes in the XIV century

The article focuses on the family ties of Mologa and Tver princes in the second half of the XIV century and their impact on political and possessory relations in North-Eastern Rus. The author makes an analysis of all reports of Mologa in this period, paying attention to the importance of this centre during the study period, as evidenced by the marriages of the princes of Tver with the Mologa rulers. The author gives the arguments, according to which Kashin Princess was married Prince Fyodor Mikhailovich, who was the eldest of the sons of Yaroslavl and Mologa prince Mikhail Davydovich. The kinship with Kasshin and Moscow led to the position of Mologa in the political struggle in favor of Moscow, and also provides examples of participation the Prince of Mologa in the Pro-Moscow activity. The marriage of the grandson of Mikhail Aleksandrovich of Tver on Mologa Princess in addition to traditional kinship alliance aimed the strengthening rights on Kashin principality, where the native dynasty extinguished. Prince Fyodor Mikhailovich Mologa - a major figure of his time, a long reign of which can be regarded as the heyday of the Mologa principality. After his death, his principality continued the process of feudal disintegration.
