Cognitive guidelines of social identity of Russian population: research experience

This article presents research results of cognitive guidelines of social identity of Russians: categories, symbols and other markers, which people use to denote limits of social groups and to determine their social status in the structure of the modern Russian society. The author identifies the main categories of social groups’ distinction, social “upper" and “lower" tiers, and defines the content of the social identity.
