Cognitive aspect of the formation of English phraseological units on the basis of precedent-related names

The formation of phraseological units on the basis of precedent-related names represents one of possible kinds of the categorization process in a natural language performed with the regular cognitive models. Core features of the structures of precedent-related names serve as features constituting these models. It has been established that semantic components of the meaning of phraseological units were formed due to the interpretation of differential features constituting the cores of the structures of precedent-related names by the native English speakers.
