Cognitive dissonance in evaluation

The author of the article analyzes the results of the first All-Russian Congress of Appraisers. The problems associated with the activities of the National Council for evaluation. The analysis of existing standards and the rules of self-regulatory organizations of appraisers from the point of view of their impact on the quality of expert advice on the evaluation report. The proposals to improve the assessment activities in Russia. It is concluded that the extension of judicial practice to review the results of valuation in the appraisal report calls for speedy solution of problems formulated by the first All-Russian Congress of Appraisers.
