The cognitive aspect in the study of proper names

The article studies the conceptual aspect of proper names, their semantic and structural peculiarities. The focus is made on the fact that proper names existing in the vocabulary of any language system represent key notions of the ethnic lingual world, the nation's perception of space and time, its stereotypes and behavior. Each new epoch reconsiders proper names according to moral and social tendencies of a certain society, including some elements of the previous historical periods.
