Cochlear implantation as a means to help deaf children

In this article, the author reveals that cochlear implantation is one of the most effective methods of rehabilitation of children with severe hearing impairment. It should be noted that the issue of cochlear implantation is at the intersection of science: medicine, pedagogy and psychology. The level of medical equipment and experience allow doctors to keep up with European and world health. However, questions of pedagogical rehabilitation audioverbal developed enough. We can distinguish the following characteristic tendencies: increasing the number of cochlear implant operations, and - consequently - the number of children with hearing loss, cochlear implant compensated. The main goal of cochlear implantation, as is known, is the maximum socialization of a child with a hearing impairment and its integration into society. Expectations, both professionals and loved ones of the child, lies in the fact that with the help of a cochlear implant the child learns to perceive and understand the speech of other people use it as a means of communication, and «because of this, will develop as a normal hearing child».
